Rebecca joined the legal profession in 1996 and started her legal practice with Michael Khoo & Partners, assisting an arbitrator in writing up the award for the Marina Square Arbitration. Before going in-house with major listed and multinational companies, and a local energy statutory board, where she specialised in construction and energy work, Rebecca had been active in construction litigation and arbitration with top local and international law firms. Rebecca’s expertise in non-contentious construction matters range from all kinds of bespoke and standard contracts for build, design and build, BOOT, EPC or Turnkey projects. Rebecca’s construction disputes resolution expertise ranges from disputes involving the construction and repurposing of mining smelter plants, to the construction of commercial logistics warehouses. In her last stint with a wholly-owned subsidiary of a statutory board, Rebecca drafted and negotiated the contract for the EPC construction of an OCGT Power Plant in Jurong Island in Singapore as well as the Long-Term Service Contract of 15 years for the maintenance and servicing of the Power Plant.
